Currently under development is the EXC-1394PCI card, which is an intelligent test and simulation card for interfacing to an IEEE-1394 data bus. It will implement a 1394b PHY layer, operating at 100, 200, or 400 Mbps. It will provide up to three fully independent nodes; each node having three full duplex ports associated with it, and 2 MB of memory for message data and control registers.
