Excalibur's LANCE is a cost effective hand-held solution for portable data recording. The LANCE is a complete testing system for transmitting, receiving and monitoring ARINC-429 or MIL-STD-1553 data. The data is saved on the LANCE for later analysis with Exalt, Excalibur's Windows-based multi-protocol data monitoring and simulation application.

The LANCE is small and lightweight, and meets both the tough environmental specifications of COTS, such as water and impact resistance, and the stringent EMI/EMC requirements.
One LANCE can be used for testing two buses simultaneously. In addition, you can link two LANCEs to test four buses with a synchronized Time Tag. Additional features include dual-redundancy monitoring and a 5-Gbyte hard drive for fast and heavy-duty storage.
